Let Your Light Shine

“You are the light of the world a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lamp stand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16

Jesus is the Light of the World, and if Jesus lives in you, you are His light in this world.

Where are you keeping your light? Under a basket, or on a stand for all to see?

Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.” (John 8:12)

Christian, we have the light that leads to life!

In subtle ways, the enemy is working hard to extinguish the Light, but be of good courage because “The light shines in the darkness and the darkness can never extinguish it!” (John 1:5)

Knowing the darkness can never extinguish the light is not an excuse to do nothing when Jesus told us to “let your light shine.”

If there were ever a time to shine your light for others to see their way to God, it is now!

  • Speak up for Christ
  • Take the narrow road
  • Flee from sin
  • Meet the needs of others
  • Share the Light with others

    1. Thank you! Yes, the purpose of reflecting His light is to draw others to Jesus! The enemy is trying his best to shut us down. He knows he’s running out of time! Have a blessed day❤️

  1. I love how you mention the subtlety of the enemy. We have to be paying attention in order to know how to best help and shine our lights. Inspiring as always, friend ❤️.
